Freaky Film Collectief is een queer-gecentreerde groep filmmakers en filmliefhebbers die samen gedurfde genre-films maakt. We zijn een cinematische samenzwering die het Nederlandse filmlandschap wil infiltreren om deze wat meer bizar, queer en gewaagd te maken. Wat meer... freaky. We maken de films die we hadden willen zien toen we opgroeiden, films die alternatieve werelden visualiseren. We werken non-hierarchisch en hechten veel waarde aan plezier in het maakproces. Op dit moment bestaan we geheel uit FLINTA-makers, maar we zijn niet exclusief in onze samenwerkingen. Onze films zijn een combinatie van queer thema's, maatschappijkritische onderwerpen en alles uit de kast halen. Vaak met een knipoog.

Freaky Film Collective is a queer-centered group of filmmakers and film lovers making bold genre-films together. We are a cinematic conspiracy seeking to infiltrate the Dutch film landscape to make it a little more bizarre, queer and daring. A little more ... freaky. We make the films we wish we had seen when we were growing up, films that visualize alternative worlds. We work non-hierarchically and value fun in the making process. Right now we are made up entirely of FLINTA filmmakers, but we are not exclusive in our collaborations. Our films are a combination of queer themes, socially critical topics and pulling out all the stops. Often with a wink.
